Expansion protocols:

  1. Molars move first, following by simultaneous expansion of canines and all posterior teeth.
  2. Model of simultaneous staging

Important:

  • Expand arches (up to 6 mm per arch side is possible)
  • Create space next to canines 1.5-1.7 mm

Functional appliances:

  • If Gonial angle Co-Go-Gn is below 125.5 at stage CS3 the patient will react properly to functional treatment.
  • If this value is higher than 125.5 the reaction will be lower
